Prof. Marek Niezgódka, Ph.D Cooperation between cardiologists, IT specialists and mathematicians within the Kardionet project results in the development of innovative solutions supporting medical practitioners in the remote diagnosing, the analysing of multimodal graphic and signal data and the planning of the therapy of acute coronary diseases. Original solutions supporting the remote monitoring of persons who underwent the therapy at the stage of their rehabilitation are developed as well. A prototypical system supporting the cardiological treatment is being created for Mazovia on the grounds of the developed solutions. It may become the foundation for the future solutions on a regional scale.

Prof. Grzegorz Opolski, M.D., Ph.D The teletransmission of ECG graphs facilitates a quick appraisal of the risk of death, eliminates the need to examine the patient in the admission room and shortens the period from the arrival of an ambulance to reperfusion. It also prevents the unnecessary referral of patients who do not require urgent coronography to specialised treatment centres.
